Guess Coupons & Info
Guess, Inc. was started in Los Angeles in 1981 by a pair of brothers, Paul and Maurice Marciano and is currently a publicly traded company (NYSE: GES). Since the company offered designer clothing in a city that is known for being ahead of the trend (Beverly Hills), Guess took off almost immediately. By 1985, Guess had grown to the point of being able to advertise nationally with their infamous black and white ads.
Guess has featured the most notable male and female supermodels of the past 30 years and continues to be a worldwide trendsetter. The company slowed sales in the early 1990s, as many other fashion designer stores such as Calvin Klein became strong competitors. However, a rebound happened in the early 2000s and stores continued to operate at a high profit.
There are now nearly 500 Guess stores worldwide, including Europe, Asia and South America. It continues to be a name that is top of the line when it comes to men’s and women’s designer clothing. There was a brief period where Guess attempted to expand into the department store business in the 1980s, but that was quickly stopped in favor of focusing on the growing fashion lines.
Guess offers a free loyalty program known as the Guess List. Through this program, you can earn points by swiping your card during a purchase or entering your card number online. For each dollar spend with the Guess List, you will receive 1 point; all purchases outside of gift cards, shipping and alterations are eligible. One thing to keep in mind, though, is the fact that Guest List points expire six months after they were earned.
There is also an exclusive Guess List known as Noir that is available for customers that have spent at least $500 in the last 12 months. Eligible members will automatically receive a new card in the mail when Noir status is reached. For every 200 points that you collect, your card is issued a $10 gift certificate (or $15 with Noir) to use online or in retail stores. More information on the Guess List can be found by reading the FAQ.
Guess Coupon Policy
Unless it has been noted by Guess, discount prices on items cannot be combined with other offers. Quantities are limited, so if a sale item is sold out, you will not be able to receive a rain check. No manufacturer coupons are accepted by Guess – neither online or in store, and all promotional codes must be issued by the company itself.
While Guess does not offer a full competitor price match policy, they do offer it as a one-time courtesy. If an item you purchased is shown in an ad for a lower price, you can have your total adjusted within 14 days of your purchase to the competitor’s listed price. To do so, you must call their customer service line at 1-877-44-GUESS or contact them via email to receive the adjustment. Again, this is only a one-time offer.
Through the rest of 2014, Guess is offering free shipping on their website for any order that exceeds $99. To qualify for the promotion, simply enter the code FREESHIP99 at checkout on the online store and you’re in! If you are, for any reason, displeased or unsatisfied with your purchase, you can return any item to a retailer within 30 days of purchase – given that you have the original receipt and can provide a government issued piece of photo ID.
